This case is extremely sensitive, but there is a slew of misinformation, lies, and confusion about the motives, actions, and outcomes going on day to day. The Viktor Bout Dot Net team comprises a small group of people from the United States and Thailand whose goal is to provide those interested with a neutral, objective, evidence-based website dedicated to the man, Viktor Bout. While no Russians are currently part of this project, readers are likely to find that the information here is not “American” in nature, but rather, is based on evidence and fact.

We do not purport to know everything about what is going on on the legal, political, and financial sides of things; we also want to know the truth about the case, and we will try to provide a means to do just that.

While this site will be full of pertinent, insightful information, there are some things we do not discuss, regardless of knowledge or lack thereof:

- Personal information of the members of the Viktor Bout Dot Net team.

- Personal information of those who contribute to this site.

- Personal information about Mr. Bout’s family.

- Personal information about any lawyer or other legal professional involved in the case.

Also, in order to maintain our objectivity, the members of the Viktor Bout Dot Net agree to the following:

- We are not family members of anyone directly involved in the case.

- We have no stake in the outcome of this case, financial or otherwise.

- We will not interfere in the legal proceedings in Thailand, the US, or Russia.

- We do not receive or accept any compensation from any party directly or indirectly involved in the case. In fact, all hosting and domain name fees are paid by members of the team – we lose money by hosting this website.

- We will not post information that is sensitive to the case.

- We have no objective to cause advantage or disadvantage to any of the sides in this case.

- We respect the Thai judicial system and all members within it.

- We respect the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand and will never break any of them for the benefit of this website.

We all understand that this case is very sensitive, especially at this point and time. We are in touch with many of the people involved in the case, in order to gain information only. Again, this website will never publish personal information about anyone involved in the US Extradition case against Mr. Bout.
